In an endless attempt to get homework done on the computer, I constantly find myself coming across interesting articles I find more intriguing than the task at hand. Although I am ‘procrastinating’ I am educating myself in my own right. It will be my first time voting for president in the fall and I see it as my duty to be an informed voter so as to not look like the many ill-informed people on Jay Leno’s “Jay-Walking” segment (I don’t even know if that is still on TV. I can’t believe I’m only 19 and possibly dating myself). I came across this editorial on Mitt Romney and what I found most intriguing was Romney’s incapability to grow a pair and take a stance. Romney has called himself “severely conservative” however outsiders have dubbed him a political chameleon. He will say what the times call for and what will get him votes and in today’s political climate, it happens to be Tea Party conservatism. Even if I disagreed with Romney, I would respect him for having real convictions and standing by them. How can we expect any change from a man who is bought and sold like candy?
P.S. Women should have equal pay. I cannot believe someone running for public office will not make that assessment.
